Breakfast

Guests can order a selection of breakfast menu from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Coffee and tea are complimentary.

Towel Rental

The rental fee for one towel is $1. Male guest will receive one bath towel while female guest will receive one bath and one face towel. Please return the towel to the front desk upon checking out.

If guests would like to acquire additional towel(s), the charge is $1 USD per towel.

Locker

Each bed reservation will include a free locker with an assigned locker key. There’s also additional padlock provided. If guests have their own padlock, please use them. Guests are to safeguard their valuables at all time. Sla is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Upon checking out, please return the locker key and the padlock key with key to our front desk.

Bed Payment

Upon checking in, the guests are asked to complete the check-in form, review the hostel policy, and sign the check-in form. A payment for the bed is also required upon check-in.

If guests decide to extend their stay, they will be asked to make a pre-payment again.

Tax & Service Charge

All transactions are inclusive of all taxes and a 5% service charge.

Room Key

Each single or double bed will be given one single bedroom key. The key must always be returned to the front desk whenever the guest leaves the premise. Please return all bedroom keys to the front desk upon checking out.

WIFI

Free WIFI is available in the communal area on the ground floor only. To obtain the password, please ask our front desk for assistance.

Air Conditioning

Air conditioner remote is not available in the dorm rooms. A preset temperature has been adjusted for each dorm. If you have any questions, please contact our front desk for assistance.

For private double rooms, an air conditioner remote is available upon request from the front desk during check in. Please return the remote to the front desk upon checking out.

Extra Bed

Our hostel apologizes that we are unable to provide extra bed in any of the bedroom.

Hot Water Shower

Our hostel uses solar water heater as a means to conserve electricity and to be more environmentally conscious; therefore, depending on the amount of sunlight that day, the hot water in the shower will seem slightly colder than average. In order to use the hot water, please turn the shower handle knob to the left and let the water run for 1 to 5 minutes.

Bathroom

Since the bathroom is shared with many guests, please do not leave your personal items behind.

Shoes

When entering the premise, guests are asked to remove their shoes to show respect for our Cambodian culture. Guests may ask the front desk for a plastic bag to store their shoes and bring them to their room.

Bathroom Flip-flop

Two pairs of flip-flops are available for use in the bathroom. They are not allowed to be worn anywhere else.

Hairdryer

A hair dryer is available upon request. Please contact our front desk for assistance.

Kitchen

Dining ware, utensils, and cookware are available in the kitchen for our guests to use. Please be mindful of other guests when using utensils, as these supplies are shared with other guests.

Please clean up after yourself, including washing and drying the dining ware, utensils and cookware that you've used.

Communal Refrigerator

The fridge is available for all guests to use. Please keep in mind that it is shared with other guests. The hostel does not take responsibility for any damaged or missing items in the fridge.

The fridge will be cleaned every Sunday at 7 am. Please make sure that all your items are taken out if you do not want to them to be thrown away by our housekeeper.

Hostel Beverage and Soft Drink Fridge

An assortment of soft drinks and beverages are available for sale 24 hours daily.
Please contact our front desk for purchases.

Tap Water

Although guest can drink tap water directly from the faucet, we do not advise to do so. Guests can ask front desk for tap water that has been filtered. Filtered tap water is available for both hot and cold. A kettle is available in the kitchen should the guest need to cook the water for drinking or cooking.

Bar

Our Sla Bar opens from 4:00 pm until midnight. We have many selections of beer, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Please note that This is a cash only bar.

Happy Hour

Please contact our front desk to inquire about the current happy hour promotion and its hours.

Lights, Electronics and Appliances

Please do not leave unattended lights, electronics and appliances.

Voltage

The voltage of Cambodia is 220 volt.

Curfew

Our hostel has no curfew. However, please be courteous to other hostel guests and control your noise level during late hours.

Front Desk

Our receptionist is available 24 hours a day. Please stop by our front desk for any assistance.

Luggage Storage

Temporary storage during check-in and check-out is available upon request.

Receiving Faxes & Copies

There is no charge to receive a fax. Please ask our front desk for assistance. Please inquire our front desk for prices regarding copies.

Safeguarding Personal Belonging

Please keep a close eye on your personal belongings at all times. The hostel is not liable for the loss of personal valuables in the guest room or public area of the hostel.

Visitors

Outsiders and visitors are not permitted onto the guest room floors.

Hygiene and Health Safety

For the healthy safety of our guests and staffs, we ask that all guests to maintain high level sanitation and uses disinfection solution like soap or hand sanitizer when coughing, sneezing, itching or whenever possible. Please maintain a good personal hygiene by not spitting, littering, peeing beyond the toilet bowl, leaving bleeding unattended, chewing gum, leaving perishable goods unattended, neglecting wet or damp clothes and towels, and disregarding body odor.

Right to Refuse Service

For the security and safety of our guests and staffs, our hostel reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Transportation
  • To obtain a map of Phnom Penh, please ask our front desk for a free copy.
  • To get around the city, our front desk can assist you with a remork1 arrangement. A list of already negotiated rates is available at the front desk.
  • To hire a taxi or purchase a bus ticket, please contact our front desk for assistance.
Laundry

Laundry facility is not far from our hostel, only a few blocks away. Please contact our front desk for further detail.

ATM

The closest ATM is right around the corner on the intersection of Street 174 and Street 63.

We would appreciate your feedback on your stay with us so we know where we are going right and where we have room for improvement. Please take a few minutes after your stay to complete the online feedback form on our TripAdvisor's page as we take your feedbacks on TripAdvisor very seriously. You may also ask our front desk for paper feedback form. If there is a manager on duty, please do not hesitate to discuss with him or her about anything during your stay.

General Policy
  • No smoking or drug inside the building.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the bedroom.
  • No pets allowed.
  • No littering.
  • No staining bedding sheets.
  • No tobacco or gum chewing or spitting.
  • Our hostel has a zero tolerance for drugs, prejudiceness and racism.
  • Our hostel has a zero tolerance for disturbance and violence.
  • For the security of our guests and yourself, please do not bring outside visitors upstairs to your room.
  • Please be courteous to other guests by not appearing without clothing or in underwear in the communal areas.
  • It is not permissible to have bicycles, skateboard or large sport equipment in the room.
  • (hygiene – is important. We are now facing guests who spit and cough on the bedroom floor)
  • Any guest who does not adhere to our rules will be asked to leave the premise and will not receive a refund.

  • Keep in mind the entire hostel is a shoelessarea.
  • No durian inside the hostel.
  • Food and soft drinks are allowed inside the hostel, but not in the dorm rooms, as they may attract unwanted insects.
  • No live animals inside the hostel.
  • When using appliances, please DO NOT leave kitchen appliances such as stove, sink, fridge, toaster and kettle unattended.
  • The kitchen is shared with other hostel guests. Show respect for your neighbors by cleaning, drying and putting away your dishes immediately after use. Dirty dishes should never be left in the sink, or around the kitchen.
  • Our countertops are made from wood. Please use cutting boards and refrain from setting hot pots, pans, plates, cups, etc on the bare surface.
  • Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use appliances or cookware in the kitchen.
  • Guests are not permitted to change the TV channel or turn up the volume. Please make the request to the front desk.
  • The fridge is available for your use. Please store your food appropriately. Store only food in the kitchen and fridge space. The hostel is not responsible for any lost and/or damaged items.
  • Food that is left unattended or out of its place will be either moved to the community bin or disposed of.
  • Use the limited amount of fridge space wisely. Rotting and abandoned food will be disposed of. [Due to a limited fridge space, please be considerate to others.]
  • Your safety is really important to us, please clean up any standing water on the floor and countertop. This will help prevent slippery floors, as well as the spread of any bacteria.
  • Be as sanitary as possible. Organize any area that you use upon completion of its use.
  • Guests must adhere to the drinking laws of Cambodia.
  • Our bartender reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • Guests must conduct themselves in a respectful manner and safe behavior at all time. No foul play.
  • Guests who are considered drunk and causing scene will be asked to leave the premise.
  • No outside food or alcohol are allowed at the bar.
  • Guests are allowed to bring the food and drinks from the bar to the dining and patio area, but are not permitted in other areas such as reception area, bathroom area, staircase , or bedroom.
  • Guests are not permitted to enter behind the bar counter at anytime.
  • Guests are not permitted to serve or make their own drinks.
  • Guests are not permitted to play with the music player.
  • Bartender must give invoice to customer for every order when making payment, else the customer will get 1 free beer.
  • Happy Hour promotion is only available during the permitted hours. Last order must be made within 5 min of the Happy Hour ending. Happy Hour promotion may be available or not will depend on the hostel's decision. Happy Hour promotion is subject to change without notice.
  • Only United States dollars and Cambodian riels are accepted at the bar.

The safety and security of our guests and staffs is paramount to the team of Sla Boutique Hostel. Please take a minute to review our safety & security rules.

  • Guests must use the handrails to climb up to the top bunk bed.
  • Guests must not leave any electronic devices plugged into the electrical sockets unattended.
  • Guests who choose to use the electrical socket must use it at their own risk. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use electrical sockets.
  • Guests must not lean over the window when it is opened.
  • When leaving the room, guests must close all windows, doors, and lights.
  • Guests are not allowed to play with the fire alarm.
  • Guests are not allowed to jump on the beds.
  • Guests are not allowed to jump from bunk to bunk.
  • Guests are expected to maintain a safe, clean, friendly and quiet environment.

As a precautionary measure, please take note the location of exits and fire fighting equipment on each bedroom floor and the ground floor.

In case of a fire,

  • Use the closest exit to your room.
  • Keep your room key with you at all times.
  • Use the staircase closest to your room to exit the floor.
  • Do not use the window.
  • Stay low in smoky areas, as smoke rises and there is fresher air close to the floor.
  • Remain calm.

If the fires is in your room,

  • Leave the room and close the door tightly behind you.
  • Go to the nearest stairwell and follow the exit down to the ground floor.

If the fire is outside your room,

  • Stay in the safety of your room to await instructions from front desk or emergency service.
  • Place wet towels under the doorframe to ensure smoke does not seep into your room.
  • Turn off your air conditioning.

If you decide to leave your room,

  • Take your key with you in case you need to return.
  • Touch the door handle and frame with the back of your hand to see if they are hot. If they are not, open the door carefully keeping as low as you can.
  • If possible, go to the nearest stairwell, walk down and exit the hostel.

In case of emergency, please contact our front desk.

In your room,

  • While in your room, use the lock.
  • Always ask who it is before opening your door.
  • Do not allow staffs of the hostel or maintenance staff to enter your room before identifying themselves.
  • Do not leave valuables in your room.
  • Always use the room locker for any valuables.
